This 314-not-out innings helped Mumbai achieve a number of firsts. It was the first time a Mumbai batsman had reached a triple century away from home, and after accumulating 459 runs with opening partner Sulakshan Kulkarni, the two became the first Mumbai players to surpass 400 runs.It was difficult to believe he was only playing his second match because of his temperament during the 675 minute stay, according to The Indian Express. More admirable was the youngster’s nimbleness in spotting gaps.
